About the Author
Michael Lawrence
The author was born and raised in the State of Vermont. Ira Allen, one of Vermont’s founding fathers, appears to have been the late eighteenth century equivalent of Bobby Kennedy (RFK Sr.). By that I mean: Ira Allen and RFK Sr. would hold that leaders ought to consider the absence of some desired public benefit, and ask about its absence, ‘Why’ [does the thing not exist]?
The simple truth is that I enjoy writing works of fiction, and particularly value the occasional opportunity to share with readers {always subtly} my core belief in the indomitable strength of the human spirit. As one who came of age during the 1960s, I am, not surprisingly, a fan of the ethos of Ira Allen and RFK Sr. referenced above. That ethos is related, somehow, to the ‘indomitable strength of the human spirit’ also referenced above. I will leave it to political philosophers to opine about that relationship; I am a writer of fictional works. And an avid ice hockey and baseball fan.
Somehow I managed to co-produce two wonderful children, one of whom lives near me among the not-so-mean streets of central Florida, while his sibling has chosen to remain [she has asked me to add, “at least for now”] in our native New England.
